Eickhorn KM 2000
German Military Knife

The Eickhorn KM 2000 German Military Knife is similar to Eickhorn's other military knives: it's built to meet and exceed Mil and NATO standards.

It's in service with the German armed forces, and I would expect it is in service with other NATO troops also, although I haven't been able to confirm this.

As with Eickhorn's other military knives, the blade, tang, and cross guard are laser cut from one piece of 440 A steel, and corrosion proofed.

The handle and scabbard are made of injection molded 30% glass fiber reinforced polymers.

The sheath is black in color, has a blade lock, a sapphire blade sharpener, a lanyard, a drainage hole, can be rotated, and provides fastening points for belt carry, combat vest carry, or MOLLE carry.

The serrated, tanto shaped blade of the KM 2000 is 5mm thick, 170mm in length, and the overall length of the knife is 330mm.

The knife weighs 290g, and combined weight of knife and sheath is 525g.

I wonder if the troops who are issued this knife appreciate its outstanding quality?

The Eickhorn KM 2000 German Military Knife looks fantastic to me, and I'm trying to find one available for sale so I can get a good look at it, up close and personal.
